Four pillars make up the criteria in the selection process leading up to the announcement of selected Inductees. The scholarship component carries a GPA requirement of 3.3. Once students are identified as having met this criterion, an invitation is sent with an application to be filled out. The application includes the National standards for the next three pillars: Leadership, Character, and Service. A faculty committee conducts the interview process and the new members are welcomed by current National Honor Society Members with a ceremony and reception.
