There are many opportunities for parents to get involved at The Master's School.
Parents have the opportunity to use their unique talents to advance the mission of our school and build our community. So whether you have been gifted with business skills, organizational ability, leadership, discernment, relationship-building, serving, speaking, encouraging, giving, governing, faith, or hospitality there is a special place for you here. We have a variety of ways for you to get involved and be connected.
Tuesday Morning Prayer Group is a group of parents which gets together each Tuesday morning in the Administration building Christany Chapel. This dedicated group would love to have you join them in this important mission to lift up the school in prayer. If you would like to be added to the TMS Prayer Letter email list, please contact Alison Tortland. Prayer requests can be sent to Alison Tortland beginning in the Fall. If you do not want your prayer request printed, but prayed for confidentially, please note that in your email.
The Parent/Teacher League (PTL) is a group of parent representatives from each class (EK-12) who bridge the gap between The Master's School and our current families. They work together throughout the school year to support the school's mission through:
- Prayer - seeking God’s guidance and direction for The Master's School
- Community Building - supporting school events, welcoming new families, encouraging parent engagement, planning and implementing community building events, and fostering a positive and supportive environment within the The Master's School community
- Bridging the Gap - supporting classroom teachers, helping with projects and programs large and small - from classroom parties to campus-wide events, directing parents to appropriate resources when requested, and communicating timely information from the school to your classroom parents
The PTL is coordinated by The Master’s School Events Coordinator and all Parent Representatives meet once a month throughout the school year to accomplish the above responsibilities.
Office Help is needed from time-to-time or on an ongoing basis. From making copies to stuffing envelopes for large mailings there may be a job just right for you. If you would like to be put on the Office Help Volunteer List and contacted when there is a need, please email Sonya Allen.
School Fundraising Events are coordinated through the Development Office. Every year, The Master's School has one or two annual large fundraisers such as our Gala & Auction and Golf Classic. There are always opportunities surrounding these events where your help is appreciated. Please contact Laura Major for more information on ways you can be involved.
