As the Director of Admissions for The Master’s School, I have the privilege of introducing TMS to many wonderful people every year. Each time I take a family on a tour of our amazing school I am impressed with how engaged our students are in learning. Our highly qualified and effective teachers lead students to discover their individual gifts and talents. Students are challenged to discover a passion for learning and to recognize the purpose behind them, and the certainty of God and His plan for them. In this blog I hope to share with you a glimpse of the life changing education that takes place at The Master’s School.
School is out for the summer! Our faculty and students have left for exciting vacation plans. A few recent graduates have been spotted on campus visiting with Mrs. Monitto and Mrs. Kay.
I find myself pausing at this time to reflect on the past year. During the admissions process, prospective parents share with me their hopes and dreams for their child. Every parent desires a school where their child will be well known and well taught.
I am often asked what makes TMS special? Is it the curriculum, athletics, facilities, sense of community, dedicated faculty, or the history of TMS? We find the answer is all of these things and more. As beautifully expressed at this year's graduation ceremony, each graduate is celebrated by a faculty member in front of their parents and classmates. Everyone in attendance recognizes that our wonderful teachers know their students well. The students' accomplishments in the classroom, on the athletic fields, in the school play and in the community are lauded, not only for their own achievements, but for their contribution to the betterment of those around them.
