Teams and Schedules

NOTE:  THERE ARE SEVERAL LOCATIONS FOR CHS GAMES.  FIELDS/TENNIS COURTS ARE NOT AT THE SCHOOL.  SEE CATAGORIES BELOW.  ALL TAKE ABOUT 1 HOUR 30 MINUTES.

1-THE SCHOOL-BUS ROUTE-NO MERRIT PARKWAY:

Take Route 202 to Torrington, take left onto Route 8 south. Follow Route 8 south to exit 7 (Route 127/White Plains Rd.). Take right off exit ramp, school is 1.3 miles on the left. 

(1 hour 30 minutes)

2-THE SCHOOL-VOLLEYBALL AND BASKETBALL:

Directions to CHS "Take Route 202 to Torrington, take left onto Route 8 south. Follow Route 8 south to exit 10 (first Merritt pkwy exit). Take exit 10 off Route 8 south onto the Merritt Parkway, take exit 50 (first exit) onto Route 127. Take right off exit ramp, school is 1 1/2 blocks on the left.           (1 hour 30 minutes)."

 3-INDIAN LEDGE FIELDS-SOCCER:

From Merritt Parkway (Rt. 15) to Exit 48. Traveling South on Rt. 15, take a right off ramp. Traveling North on Rt. 15, take a left off ramp. Continue on Main St. past St. Theresa’s R.C. Church on left, past Trumbull Town Hall on right, past St. Joseph’s Manor on right to Y intersection (approx. 2 ½ miles). Bear right – pass Luigi’s. At stop sign, take right onto Whitney Ave. The entrance to Indian Ledge is approx. 0.4 miles on the right.  The field is at the top of the hill on the right.

From I-95 North or South

Take exit 27A to Rt. 8/25 North.  Go approx. 5 miles. 

At first light, turn left onto Route 111.  Go approx. 0.7 miles,

Turn left onto Whitney Avenue.  The entrance to Indian Ledge is approx. 0.4 miles on the right.  The field is at the top of the hill on the right.

From Rt. 8 South

Take exit 7 (CT-127/White Plains Rd).  Go straight through light at the end of the ramp.  Take your second right to get onto Rt. 25 North.  Go approx. 5 miles.  At first light, turn left onto Route 111.  Go approx. 0.7 miles,

Turn left onto Whitney Avenue.  The entrance to Indian Ledge is approx. 0.4 miles on the right.  The field is at the top of the hill on the right.

From the Danbury Area

Take I-84 East to exit 10.  At the end of the ramp, take a left onto Church Hill Road.  Go approx. 1 mile, turn left onto Rt. 25 South.  Go approx. 10 miles and turn right onto Main Street (Rt. 111).  Go approx. 0.7 miles and turn left onto Whitney Avenue.  The entrance to Indian Ledge is approx. 0.4 miles on the right.  The field is at the top of the hill on the right.

From Christian Heritage School(CHS)

From CHS, turn left out of the CHS parking lot onto White Plains Road (CT-127) and follow for about 2 miles until you can’t go any further.  Take a right onto Main Street (Rt. 111).  Continue past Town Hall and St. Joseph’s Manor to a Y intersection (if you get to Marisa’s Restaurant, you have gone too far).  Bear right at Y, passing Luigi’s Bakery.  At the next stop sign, take a right onto Whitney Avenue.  The entrance to Indian Ledge is approx. 0.4 miles on the right.  The field is at the top of the hill on the right.

 4-MADISON PARK-SOCCER:

From New Haven:

Take Exit 48 off the Merritt Parkway. Go right off the exit and proceed for 100 yards to Chestnut Hill Road and turn left (up the hill). Continue traveling on Chestnut Hill Road to the second stop sign. This is Madison Avenue. Turn right and continue on this road for about two miles. The school will be on your right.

From New York:

Same as above except "Go left off the exit and proceed..."

From I 95:

Take Exit 27 A - Trumbull. Stay on the connector (straight). After fork in the road - stay left. Take a left to Merritt Parkway South and get off Exit 48. Follow directions above.

From the north on Rt. 25:

Follow Rt. 25 to Rt. 111, turn right. Follow for several miles and turn right on Lake Avenue (gas station on the right). Follow Lake Avenue to the end and turn left. The school is approximately one half mile on the left.

From the south on Rt. 25:

Follow to the end of the highway section. Turn left onto Rt. 111. Follow above directions.

 5-UNITY PARK-BASEBALL:

Take Route 202 to Torrington, take left onto Route 8 south. Follow Route 8 south to exit 10 (first Merritt pkwy exit). Take exit 10 off Route 8 south onto the Merritt Parkway, take exit 50 (first exit) onto Route 127.  To get to baseball fields, take left off ramp (Route 127), entrance to park (Unity Park) is on right just after underpass.  (1 hour 30 minutes)
