The Master’s Lions are looking forward to baseball 2012. With an expanded schedule (16 games) that includes a first ever scrimmage with Simsbury High School and non-league games with Avon Old Farms, Cheshire Academy and The Upper Room School--defending Christian School national champions-- the Lions are anxious to get out of the gate.
This year also features a return to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY on Saturday, May 5, where we will host Christian Heritage School in a league game at Doubleday Field at 5:00 pm. Come on up and make a weekend of it!
Master’s baseball returns strong with a team that includes six seniors. We are also excited to have players looking at Trinity, Central, UConn, Messiah, Gordon, UHart and Western New England as they look to continue their baseball careers in college.
While our home schedule is brief--4 games at Elizabeth Jorgensen Field on campus and 2 games at Memorial Field in Simsbury--we are very proud to feature new dugouts! Our final game is one that The Master’s faithful will want to put on their calendars: a 7:00 pm game at Memorial Field on Friday, May 12 versus non-league powerhouse St. Thomas More. Come on out and support Master’s Lions baseball!
