The aim of our Christian school is to encourage the pursuit of knowing God, and therefore, His created world. It is transformational education centered from a Biblical worldview that sees God as the source of all things. As a Christian school we view all truth as his truth. While the Bible is taught, it is also integrated into the framework of understanding our world. This perspective uncovers the unique design of a child. Each student will be nurtured and challenged to strive for personal excellence and spiritual maturity. We believe the rigorous pursuit of academic learning involves inquiry, understanding, and the pursuit of godly wisdom.
We educate the whole child from early childhood through grade 12 in a rigorous college preparatory program. As a Christian school, the entire educational program is dependent upon and directly related to the truths and principles put forth in the Bible. Our scope and sequence is designed in a manner that teaches the foundations of each core subject reflecting current best practice and research, building from each successive level that enables inquiry at deeper levels of cognition. We believe in nurturing each student to strive for academic excellence in a thorough and thoughtful way, and that the student will achieve his or her highest potential when taught in such an environment. The ultimate aim of our educational program is to equip every mind and transform every heart to impact the world for Jesus Christ.
Every student is a unique individual, created in God's image. Each child is endowed with distinct aptitudes and abilities in many areas: spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. The student's spiritual dimension is the true center of his or her life and provides the motivation, purpose, and direction for all other areas. The student is encouraged and expected to "...grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man." (Luke 2:52)
Every teacher has a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and demonstrates that love to students, parents, and others in The Masters School community. Our educational philosophy reflects and expects the highest principles and best practices of teaching for all of our educators. The Master's School teachers are committed to excellence in education as demonstrated through mastery of their respective subject matter or classroom niche, understanding of child development and learning styles, and the ability not only to connect the subject matter with the student but also to create a rich environment for learning beyond the text. We believe to love students is to hold students to high academic standards. The teacher is the backbone of the school. Each teacher is expected to possess and practice a Biblical worldview and continually pursue excellence in their craft.
