Welcome to Math in Grades 3 - 6 at The Master's School!

Seeing my students engaged in “doing” math with confidence and interest is a joy to witness.  I recognize that all my students are unique and therefore require experiences that build understanding and skill in a variety of ways.  Through the use of supplemental programs like the Digi-Block Program and Hands-On Equations as well as manipulatives such as fraction pieces and tiles, geoboards and tiles, Cuisenaire rods, and pattern blocks, and utilizing math games that build and extend concepts,  I seek to actively engage every learner.  It is my desire to nurture an “I can” attitude in each student, to assist them in developing strong skills that support their mathematical inquiry, and to help them acquire a strong foundation of mathematical understanding.

I especially appreciate having the opportunity to work with students for four consecutive years.  I am constantly learning from them because they are so unique.  Watching them grow as individuals and as competent math students is rewarding.
