"To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old questions from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advances in science." ~Albert Einstein
Welcome to the ISaT program at The Master's School! As Einstein states in the above quote, the observations and questioning of the world around us marks true advances in science. The key in this is the willingness to “think outside the box”; to question what we see and what we do not and how those things may be interrelated. This reflects so strongly in the everyday discoveries of young children. It’s almost as though Einstein made this quote with the Interactive Science and Technology program at The Master’s School in mind. It is the program’s goal to prod each and every student to raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old questions from a new angle using their creativity to mark our own advances in science.
Who is Mr. Bishop?
My name is Jon Bishop and I come to The Master's School from six years in the field of public education. I received my Bachelor's Degree in education from Carroll College, a small, private, Catholic, liberal arts college in Helena, MT. Upon graduation I spent three years teaching middle school math and working with the Gifted and Talented program in Helena, Montana. I spent the subsequent years teaching fourth grade and gifted students in Plano, Texas. My experience in the classroom has helped me to develop a unique rapport with my students which allows us to work together as a team. During my years growing up in Montana I learned to love the outdoors and exploring all the wonders the world has to offer. This love of nature, as well as the occasional lecture during family trips from my father, opened my eyes to discovery of the world through science. I continue to marvel at God’s creation. I hope to instill a similar sense of awe and excitement in discovery in my students while utilizing cutting edge technology. It is my heart’s desire to use science as a tool to guide students to a better understanding of God's works
