The final installment of a $100,000 anonymous gift to The Master’s School’s endowment was received this week. The gift will go toward The Master’s School’s existing Legacy Scholarship Fund. Any additional portion that can be distributed annually will be unrestricted for the operational budget and strengthen the school’s financial foundation.
The Legacy Scholarship Fund provides the annual Anne Daube Legacy Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship awarded to an Upper School student with financial need and a passion to learn and excel in science. The late Mrs. Daube was a long-time science teacher and advisor at The Master’s School. The scholarship is awarded at the recommendation of the Financial Aid Committee based on the scholarship’s criteria.
This gift is a two-part anonymous donation from a friend of The Master’s School. “This gift has a significant and immediate impact on rewarding our students who demonstrate a strong desire to achieve academic excellence and spiritual maturity, as well as by supporting the operational budget,” said Head of School Ray Lagan.
Manager of Development Laura Major said, “In addition to providing vital scholarship support to students, we are profoundly grateful for this generous endowment gift and the legacy it honors. Endowment gifts are inspirational and create a sustained and permanent source of income for the school.”
The Master’s School was established in 1970 and will soon be celebrating its 50th year jubilee. As the endowment grows, it secures the future of the Christian education provided by The Master’s School in the greater Farmington Valley.
