Janet Eke » Bio

Janet works in our Technology Resource Center as our librarian. She teaches the Lower School students library instruction, Middle School technology classes and Upper School journalism classes. She attended Gordon College and received a degree in Economics. Janet then spent 9 years working in the financial industry. She later received a Master’s of Library Science from Simmons College and has been working in the Library Industry for 20 years. Janet joined The Master's School community in 2009 but has been teaching since 2005. She became a teacher because of her own desire and curiosity to learn as much as she can. Janet decided to teach a The Master's School because she was impressed with our mission and enjoyed the people who work here.

Janet grew up in Granby, CT with her parents and three siblings. She still lives in Granby, now with her two sons. Previously, she has lived in Boston, MA and Washington DC. During her free time, Janet loves to read books about history, politics, and theology. She is also very interested in the local history of the community and has assisted the archivist at Granby Salmon Brook Historical Society.

A fun fact about Janet is that she has two sons who are very involved in athletics. She thinks that she has attended more soccer and basketball games than most professional sportscasters.
