National Honor Society

The Master's School chapter of the National Honor Society began in 1980. Since that time the organization has engaged its members in actively demonstrating scholarship, leadership, character, and service, the four main tenets of NHS, on campus and in the community.
The process for induction begins second trimester of the student's junior or senior year. The students must first meet The Master's School's scholarship requirement of a 3.3 GPA. Then the students fill out an information sheet listing their involvements that reflect the other three tenets of NHS: leadership, character, and service. After review by a faculty committee, those students who meet the requirements are selected to become members of NHS at a public induction ceremony held each year in the spring. Current NHS members host the inductees and their families during the ceremony and for a luncheon afterward.

Meetings are held with the advisor where the students plan their activities, select a peer tutorial supervisor, and plan service activities. It is a lively and vibrant group who touch many lives both on campus and in the community.
