Student Advisory Program

We are excited to announce Crew – a revitalized, reimagined student advisory program. As Crew members, Upper and Middle School students develop a meaningful and consistent relationship with a single Crew Leader (faculty mentor) that spans classes, activities, divisions, and years. Crews meet in small groups and provide students with opportunities to be uniquely supported as individuals who are well known, well taught, and well-loved. Crew activities and processes are led by trained facilitators and are designed to support students to become independently goal-directed and to develop academic, social, and leadership skills to positively impact the world within and beyond The Master’s School.
Crew Features
  • Crews are small, division-wide, multi-grade groups that facilitate peer-to-peer mentoring.
  • Crew Leaders monitor and support Crew members’ academic experiences and non-academic experiences during athletic contests, extracurricular experiences, and as community members.
  • Crew Leaders partner and interact with parents frequently at planned intervals and as needed.

Crews connect in structured and semi-structured experiences as follows:
  • Daily in community spaces for attendance, devotions, and prayer
  • Twice weekly in whole division workshops with small Crew breakouts to address goal setting, goal monitoring, and to participate in semi-structured discussions emerging from guided prompts and leadership studies
  • Once per week during Chapel
  • Regularly for informal lunches and special activities
  • Several times throughout the year to compete in whole-school challenges
  • During service projects

We look forward with confidence and excitement to our new student advisory program, The Master’s School Crew!
