Greetings from The Master's School

We are excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Deborah DeBisschop as the new TMS Head of School and Principal.

Dr. DeBisschop has distinguished herself by showcasing a strong academic rigor and an unwavering commitment to The Master’s School. She is a parent of two TMS alums, has taught in the Preschool for 7 years, led the Lower School as its Director for 3 years and served as the K-12 Educational Strategist during her previous tenure at TMS.

With an in-depth understanding of the mission and vision of The Master’s School, Dr. DeBisschop brings an excitement about the future of TMS, knowledge of our community and families, an advisory group committed to assisting Christian Schools and clear strategies to help The Master’s School thrive academically, socially and spiritually, as well as become financially sustainable.

Dr. DeBisschop recently earned her EdD in Entrepreneurial leadership in Education from the John Hopkins University School of Education. She completed her MA in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of St. Joseph’s School of Education and her BS in Child Studies from Charter Oak State College.

Dr. DeBisschop maintains several certifications and an advanced certificate in Higher Education Teaching from the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning at Harvard University. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor in Graduate Education Studies at The University of Saint Joseph.

The Board of Trustees is impressed by Deb’s strategic thinking, dedication and inspiration, and unanimously approved her appointment. We look to her with confidence for the leadership TMS needs to continue helping our students achieve their God-given potential and to impact their world for Christ.


The Master’s School is an independent, college-preparatory, non-denominational Christian day school enrolling children in preschool through post-graduate in West Simsbury, CT.

The Master's School is fully accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
