Announcing Dr. Brian Modarelli as Our Next Head of School
The Board of Trustees is very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Brian Modarelli as the next Head of School at The Master’s School. Dr. Modarelli is a seasoned and accomplished leader in Christian education with a proven record of success as Head of School at institutions both in the U.S. and internationally, including one here in Connecticut. He is recognized for cultivating vibrant, Christ-centered communities, promoting academic rigor, and strengthening the financial health of the schools he leads.
Dr. Modarelli began his career as a math teacher and holds a PhD in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina. With extensive experience in financial management and enrollment growth, he brings strategic insight along with a deep commitment to Christian education. In addition to his educational leadership, Dr. Modarelli is also an ordained minister with experience in pastoral leadership.
He writes: “I am thrilled to have been offered, and now accepted, the headship at The Master's School. During my visit to campus, I especially appreciated that each conversation pointed to a desire to shepherd children, from a solidly biblical worldview, in their preparation for college, for life, and for eternity. Tara and I have felt God at work throughout this process and truly look forward to returning to Connecticut in early July to join the TMS community.
I am excited to get to know the families within the school, roll up my sleeves, and work to bring a collectively shared vision to reality. My desire is that 3 John 4 will continually serve as a compass for us as we all seek to raise children who allow us to say in our hearts, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Brian Modarelli and his wife, Tara, to our community this July, and in celebrating Kevin for his dedicated service to The Master’s School and wise, gracious leadership during this important season.

The Master’s School is an independent, college-preparatory, non-denominational Christian day school enrolling children in preschool through post-graduate in West Simsbury, CT.
The Master's School is fully accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
