Master’s Put Up Strong Offense Against Rumsey Hall
Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but TMS JV Softball fell to Rumsey Hall School 12-11 on Friday. Rumsey Hall School collected five hits, while TMS JV Softball had six.
TMS JV Softball lost despite out-hitting Rumsey Hall School six to five. Lilah M led TMS JV Softball with two hits.
TMS JV Softball got on the board in the top of the first inning after Sophie W singled, Stella S walked, Acadia walked, Saylor walked, and Olivia was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.
TMS JV Softball extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI walks by Karis B and Lila D.
TMS JV Softball added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Saylor grounded out, and Owyn S walked, each scoring one run.
Olivia homered, scoring two runs in the top of the fifth for the TMS JV Softball.
Lilah took the loss for TMS JV Softball. The hurler went two innings, allowing six runs on three hits, striking out none and walking six.
Olivia led TMS JV Softball with three runs batted in who went 1-for-1 on the day. TMS JV Softball had patience at the plate, piling up 14 walks for the game. Owyn, Karis, Lila, Saylor, and Acadia led the team with two walks each. Lilah stole four bases. TMS JV Softball ran wild on the base paths, tallying nine stolen bases for the game. TMS JV Softball turned one double play in the game. TMS JV Softball were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Saylor had the most chances in the field with five.
TMS JV Softball play at home on Thursday against Hamden Hall Country Day in their next game home at 4:15pm.
